Hand Rearing Food is a nutrient-enriched formula for all parrots, finches, pigeons and doves. Can be fed from hatching to weaning.

Directions
Prepare by mixing powder with pre-boiled, warm water according to the feed chart on the pack. Feed with a spoon, syringe or crop tube. Prepare food fresh each meal and thoroughly clean utensils between feeds. Growth: Weigh chicks before feeding each day. On average chicks should gain from
5 -15% of their body weight per day, until they are well-feathered.
Weaning: Offer adult-type foods once chicks are fully feathered or start to resist being hand fed. Gradually reduce the frequency and volume of hand rearing food to encourage weaning. Ingredients

Growing chicks need a quality hand rearing food to get the best start in life. Protein and essential amino acids are required for feather and muscle growth. Omega-3 & 6 fatty acids are used for cell membrane and brain development. Calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D need to be balanced for healthy bone growth.
Unfortunately, some commercial products and home-made recipes lack appropriate levels of nutrients which can lead to poor growth and development.
